Privacy notice
What we collect, and what we never publish.
This notice is from Calvin Marran, operating as The Address Historian.
What we collect
Your name and email (collected at checkout), the home's address, whether the order is a gift, and anything you choose to send us (a gift message, the recipient's name, family stories or notes). If it's a gift, the report is emailed to you, not the recipient. Card payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookie-free tool, to count page visits.
How we use it
Only to research and deliver your report, send you the records-check email, and handle any refund or correction. We don't add you to a marketing list. We don't sell or share your information.
Your report stays private
Your report goes to you and nobody else. We don't post it or use it as a sample unless you tell us in writing that we can.
People in the records
We never name the current owner, or the current owner's company or trust, and we leave out sale prices from roughly the last 25 years. Historic owners, and trusts or companies that held title in the past, can be named. For the 1940 and 1950 censuses, whose residents may still be alive, we list heads of household only, describe children without naming them, and leave out sensitive details such as income.
How long we keep it
We keep order records (your name, email, the address researched and the payment record) for as long as we need them for tax and accounting. We keep research files so we can make free corrections or resend your report. Email [email protected] and we'll delete your research files.
